"content_markdown": "## What does ACMP QEP mean?\n\nQEP stands for Qualified Education Provider™, a programme developed and managed by the ACMP® that qualifies change management courses aligned with its Standard for Change Management©. A provider applies, the ACMP® reviews, and a qualified course goes into a public registry.\n\nLook at what the label attaches to. It describes a course and its provider, and it says nothing about you until you finish the course. The CCMP® and the MCMP™ remain credentials the ACMP® awards after its own assessment. A QEP™ course is a route to the training hours those credentials ask for. The number of QEPs is not published by the ACMP®, so we will not quote one.\n\n **Definition**\n\nQEP™ (Qualified Education Provider™) is the ACMP® programme that qualifies courses aligned with the Standard for Change Management©. Source: [acmpglobal.org/page/qep](https://www.acmpglobal.org/page/qep), read on 7 October 2026.\n\n## The four criteria a course has to meet\n\nAn ACMP® evaluator checks four things: clear documented goals and learning objectives, adult education methods, qualified instructors, and accurate advertising. A course that meets all four can be qualified.\n\nThe ACMP® words them in plain terms. Goals, learning objectives and instructional methods have to be clear and documented. The methods follow the principles of adult education. Instructors hold the academic and experiential qualifications the subject asks for. The course operates in an open and transparent way, with advertising that matches what is taught. Universities, organisations and sole proprietorships can apply, for classroom or online courses.\n\nThe criteria are about quality of delivery. They say nothing about difficulty, pass rates or exam coaching, and the ACMP® publishes no pass rate for the CCMP® either.\n\n## How does a provider become a QEP: the six steps\n\nThe ACMP® describes six stages: create an organisational profile, input course details, pay and submit, formal review by the ACMP®, qualification, and annual renewal of the registry course. On 7 October 2026 that is the sequence shown on its QEP page.\n\nMoney is part of the process. For providers, the ACMP® lists US$2,000 for the first course evaluation including the first-year registry listing, then a US$500 annual registry fee in years two and three, which its FAQ says covers all of a provider’s QEP courses, and US$500 for each additional course. An evaluation is promised within 40 business days, and requalification happens every three years. These are provider fees, paid by the training company, not by learners.\n\n **Provider fees on 7 October 2026**\n\nUS$2,000 for the first course evaluation plus the first-year registry listing. US$500 a year for the registry in years 2 and 3. US$500 per additional course. Evaluation within 40 business days, requalification every three years.\n\n## QEP course and CCMP application: what the ACMP® requires\n\nA QEP™ course is not required for the CCMP®. The ACMP® asks for [21 hours of training](https://leanova-academy.com/ccmp-21-hour-training-requirement/) aligned with the Standard©, completed in the past seven years, with an instructor present in the classroom or online. A QEP™ course satisfies that, and so can other training.\n\nThe ACMP® calls QEP™ courses pre-qualified: the alignment has already been reviewed. Other instructor-led training can still be submitted with its objectives, outline, dates, duration and the instructor-led portion, documented in English. Blended formats, with self-study and instructor-led parts, are accepted. If you want certainty and no paperwork, a QEP™ course is the easier path; if your employer already runs aligned training, submitting it is possible. You can read the requirement on the ACMP® [training FAQ](https://www.acmpglobal.org/page/ccmp-training-faq).\n\n## What happens to the label after three years?\n\nA provider has to requalify its QEP courses every three years, and the six-step process ends with an annual renewal of the registry course. The registry itself remains the place to confirm that a listing is current.\n\nAnnual renewal and three-year requalification fit together as two layers. The yearly layer is the registry fee of US$500 that maintains QEP status in years two and three (the ACMP® also offers an incentive fee of US$2,700 for the application and first course, with no registry fee in those two years). The three-year layer is the requalification of each course. The [QEP FAQ](https://www.acmpglobal.org/page/faqs_qep) adds that the ACMP® had not yet finalised fees or procedures for renewal after the three-year status period, so we do not describe that step. If a course you are considering looks old, check the date of its last update with the provider.\n\nThe label also matters after you are certified. The ACMP® lists QEP™ courses among the activities that count toward the 60 PDUs a CCMP® holder needs every three years, alongside conferences, webinars, reading, work, non-QEP courses and volunteering. A holder who plans renewal therefore gets value from a QEP™ course twice: once for the application hours, later for the renewal.\n\n## Checking a QEP course and reading its code\n\nSearch the public registry at acmp.learningbuilder.com by keyword, setting, hours, language, price range or provider, then compare what you find with the course page. A genuine listing shows hours and a course code.\n\nLeanova Academy, an official ACMP® QEP™, publishes its codes openly: Q000607 for the 21-hour self-paced CCMP® preparation, Q000609 for the 21-hour live online version, Q000654 for LCeX-Essentials™ (5 hours), Q000655 for the 10-hour MCMP™ course and Q000656 for LCeX-Specialist™ (8 hours). The site follows Leanova, which appears among the QEP providers displayed on the ACMP’s QEP page (acmpglobal.org/page/qep, seen on 7 October 2026), with course codes Q000607 and following. Verify it yourself before paying. The registry entries carry a direct link to each Leanova course page and list the provider as Non-University/College based in Canada (seen on 7 October 2026).\n\nFor a worked example, the [CCMP® Certification Exam Prep](https://www.leanovaacademy.com/link/MVR50Q?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.leanovaacademy.com%2Fcourse%2Fmastering-ccmp-exam-acmp-qep-training) is 21 hours, self-paced, with 45 modules and one year of access, priced at US$595 on that date. Leanova is a training provider. It does not award the CCMP®.\n\n **A five-minute check**\n\nNote the course code on the sales page, search the registry for the provider, and confirm that the hours and language match. If they differ, ask the provider in writing before you buy.\n\n## QEP course or aligned training: choosing between them\n\nChoose a QEP™ course when you want the 21 hours accepted without a separate submission. Choose other aligned training when your employer already pays for it and you can document it.\n\nPrice and language narrow the field quickly. If budget comes first, our page on [change management training under US$1,000](https://leanova-academy.com/change-management-training-under-1000/) looks at the options. If English is not your working language, the page on [change management training in Spanish and French](https://leanova-academy.com/change-management-training-in-spanish-french/) covers what exists. For a wider survey, see our guide to [the best change management training providers](https://leanova-academy.com/best-change-management-training-providers/).\n\nOne practical point on formats: the ACMP® counts online instructor-led teaching the same as a classroom, so the registry’s “setting” filter is a convenience rather than a quality marker. Filter by hours first, since 21 is the figure the CCMP® application asks for, then by language and price range.\n\n **A common mix-up**\n\n“ACMP approved training” is a loose phrase. Only the QEP™ label comes from the ACMP®, and a QEP™ course does not replace the CCMP® exam, which has 150 multiple-choice questions and three hours.\n\n **Further reading on Leanova Academy’s blog**\n\n- [How to Choose an ACMP® QEP™ Provider: Eight Questions](https://www.leanovaacademy.com/link/MVR50Q?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.leanovaacademy.com%2Fblog%2Fchoose-an-acmp-qep-provider)\n- [Judging Exam Prep for the CCMP® Certification from ACMP®](https://www.leanovaacademy.com/link/MVR50Q?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.leanovaacademy.com%2Fblog%2Fjudging-a-ccmp-exam-prep-course)\n- [CCMP® from ACMP®, CCM or CMP: Which One Do You Mean?](https://www.leanovaacademy.com/blog/ccmp-ccm-cmp-difference)\n\n **Course mentioned in this article**\n\n[CCMP® Exam Prep, 21-hour self-paced ACMP® QEP™ course](https://www.leanovaacademy.com/link/MVR50Q?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.leanovaacademy.com%2Fcourse%2Fmastering-ccmp-exam-acmp-qep-training) at Leanova Academy, official ACMP® QEP™.
