Pick self-paced if your schedule is unpredictable and you read well alone; pick live online if you study better with a trainer and a fixed calendar. The ACMP® accepts both routes for the 21 hours when the course is an ACMP® Qualified Education Provider™ course, since QEP™ courses are pre-qualified according to the [ACMP® training FAQ](https://www.acmpglobal.org/page/ccmp-training-faq) read on 7 October 2026. The same page states that an instructor must be present, in a classroom or online, and that blended formats combining self-study with instructor-led portions are accepted. That rule matters most when you consider a course outside the [QEP™ registry](https://leanova-academy.com/acmp-qep-what-it-means/), which you would have to document yourself with objectives, outline, dates, duration and the instructor-led portion, in English. It is a 21-hour QEP™ course, code Q000609 as published by Leanova, and the self-paced course is included in the price. That last point shapes the choice. Language is the third factor: a French or Spanish speaker who wants a trainer in that language has the live course as an option, whereas the self-paced version is in English with subtitles. **The general rule** Choose the format by your own constraints: calendar, budget, need for questions and language. Both Leanova Academy courses give the same 21 QEP™ hours, so the ACMP® requirement does not separate them. Teams that train together have a third option. She takes the self-paced course, schedules four evenings a week for five weeks and finishes with time left to practise. Her only expense is the US$595 course fee, plus the ACMP® application later. Luc, a fictional HR lead in Lyon, has coordinated change projects for six years but has never worked with the [Standard for Change Management©](https://leanova-academy.com/acmp-standard-for-change-management-explained/) and wants a trainer to challenge his habits. Four fixed evenings a week finish a 21-hour course in about five weeks, and the one-year access period leaves room for a second pass over the modules you found hardest. ## Combining formats and choosing a bundle Some candidates start with the live course for the 21 hours, then add practice material afterwards.
