A change management career moves from analyst to manager to lead, and employers look for documented project experience first, then a credential such as the CCMP.
A CCMP lasts three years and renews with 60 PDUs plus a fee of US$100 for ACMP members or US$150 for non-members; the MCMP needs 15 PDUs (ACMP, 7 October 2026).
The MCMP needs an active CCMP, 8,400 hours of experience, 10 new training hours and 6 mentoring hours. The application costs US$655 or US$855.
The practitioner track has four steps: a 21-hour course, three to five years of experience, the CCMP, then the MCMP with 8,400 hours, all set by the ACMP.
