Change management certification cost in 2026: a CCMP route from US$1,190
Sommaire6 sections
How much does the CCMP cost in total?
The total is the sum of three lines: a 21-hour course, the ACMP application fee, and later the renewal. On 7 October 2026 the cheapest combination we found was US$1,190, and a typical live route was US$1,590.
The ACMP sets the second line. Its application page lists US$595 for ACMP members and US$795 for non-members, with the exam fee included. The course is the line that varies most from one provider to the next, from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. We follow Leanova Academy on this site, so its prices appear in the table below next to the others, each with the date we read it.
| Route (7 October 2026) | Training | ACMP application | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-paced QEP course, ACMP member | US$595 | US$595 | US$1,190 |
| Self-paced QEP course, non-member | US$595 | US$795 | US$1,390 |
| Live online QEP course, non-member | US$795 | US$795 | US$1,590 |
| jTask virtual course, member | USD 980 | US$595 | US$1,575 |
| ATD certificate (14 hours only), non-member price | US$2,425 | US$795 | US$3,220 |
| Prosci programme, online (21-hour coverage not confirmed) | US$4,500 | US$795 | US$5,295 |
None of these totals includes ACMP membership itself. The price of membership is not repeated here, so check the current figure on acmpglobal.org before you decide whether the member rate pays for itself. The gap between the two application fees is US$200, which is the number to compare it with.
The 21-hour course: cost at each provider
Prices run from US$595 for a self-paced QEP course to US$4,500 for Prosci’s online programme, whose coverage of the 21 hours we could not confirm, all read on provider pages on 7 October 2026 in their own currencies.
Leanova’s self-paced CCMP exam prep is US$595 (list price US$995) for 45 modules and one year of access, and the live online version is US$795 over three days. jTask lists USD 980 for a 24-hour virtual course, of which 21 hours are instruction, and states that ACMP exam fees are not included. ATD charges US$2,125 for members and US$2,425 for non-members for 14 hours, which is below the 21 required, so it covers only part of the requirement. Prosci charges US$4,500 online and US$4,850 in person for its three-day certification programme.
Prosci’s page lists ACMP QEP credits among the PDUs it carries, but it does not say that the programme covers the 21 hours of the CCMP. We have not verified that point, and we would ask the ACMP before paying for it with that goal. The ACMP’s training FAQ explains that QEP courses are pre-qualified and that other instructor-led training aligned with the Standard can be submitted for review.
Costs after the exam: renewal, time and practice material
After the exam, the CCMP is valid for three years and renewal costs US$100 for members or US$150 for non-members, plus 60 professional development units, on the ACMP’s renewal page.
The 60 PDUs can come from conferences, QEP courses, webinars, reading, work and volunteering, so many people reach them with little spending. Time is still a cost. A 21-hour course is three working days at a minimum, before any time spent on practice questions. The renewal page also mentions a one-year suspension period before expiry; read its terms rather than treating it as a plan.
Practice material is the last visible line. Leanova sells a CCMP practice exam pack of 450 questions in three 150-question mock exams for US$95 (list US$160) with one year of access. The 150-question format matches the real exam, which runs three hours. Leanova also publishes CCMP and MCMP bundles at US$695 for 21 hours, US$895 for 31 hours and US$1,195 for 31 hours plus two hours of application coaching, all self-paced and currently in English.
Prosci and APMG routes compared with the CCMP

Official badges of the credentials compared here, shown to identify each one. They belong to their respective owners.
The Prosci programme at US$4,500 online costs more than three times the cheapest CCMP route; APMG’s £336 Practitioner exam bundle is lower but buys a different credential, with training priced separately.
These routes answer different questions, which is why we keep the comparison of the three bodies on a separate page, CCMP, Prosci and APMG side by side. Prosci is a methodology and a training company, and its credential is the Prosci Certified Change Practitioner digital badge. APMG’s Practitioner exam has 80 scenario questions in 2 hours 30 and a pass mark of 40 out of 80, and its Foundation price is not published. The £336 bundle is for the exam; training through an Accredited Training Organisation is priced separately, and the Knowledge Academy lists £3,795 for a five-day Foundation and Practitioner course.
The Change Management Institute is a third option. Its Accredited Change Professional route is a portfolio assessment for members, with a Foundation level at USD 525 (USD 450 with endorsed training) and a renewal of USD 40 every three years. For readers who want a wider list of programmes, our ranking of change management certifications sets them out with the same dated facts.
How do you keep the bill low without buying a certificate that does not count?
Pick a course that already carries the 21 QEP hours, buy the application at the member rate only if the US$200 difference exceeds the membership price, and pay for practice questions once.
The ACMP wants to see 21 hours of Standard-aligned training, and a QEP listing removes the question of whether a course will be accepted. A cheaper product that is not aligned with the Standard, or has no instructor component, may still be useful for learning, yet it risks not being accepted for the application. The distinction between the two documents is explained in certificate versus certification: a course gives a certificate of completion, and the ACMP awards the CCMP after the exam.
One practical point on payment. Leanova offers a 14-day money-back guarantee, and its Global Access programme lists 30 % reduced pricing for eligible countries, with the Professional course at US$415. Those terms are Leanova’s, published on its site on 7 October 2026, and each provider sets its own.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to get CCMP certified?
On 7 October 2026, the ACMP application fee is US$595 for members and US$795 for non-members, exam included. Add the 21 hours of instructor-led training the ACMP requires: Leanova Academy’s QEP course costs US$595 self-paced or US$795 live online. A complete route therefore starts around US$1,190, before any ACMP membership and an optional US$95 practice exam.
How much is the Prosci change management certification?
Prosci published its Change Management Certification Program at US$4,500 online and US$4,850 in person on 7 October 2026, for a three-day programme. It leads to the Prosci Certified Change Practitioner credential, a course credential, whereas the CCMP is awarded by the ACMP after an exam. Prosci does not publish regional prices on its public pages; local offices quote them on request.
Is the Prosci certification worth it compared with the CCMP?
It depends on what you need to prove. Prosci teaches one methodology (ADKAR) in three days and gives a course credential recognised in organisations that use that method. The CCMP tests the ACMP Standard in a 150-question exam, requires three or five years of experience and is renewed with 60 PDUs every three years. Many practitioners do both; Prosci training also counts toward the CCMP’s 21 hours.
What is the best change management certification?
For a credential with a public standard and an independent exam, the CCMP from the ACMP is the reference, with the MCMP as its master level. For a method-driven organisation, Prosci; for the UK and European public sector, APMG Foundation and Practitioner; for a members’ accreditation on portfolio, the CMI. Without the experience yet, a 21-hour QEP certificate course such as LCeX-Professional gives the training hours that count later.
